Cancer affects all of us in one way or another. You may have a family member who’s battled the disease or a friend or a co-worker. Cancer can not only do physical damage to the body, but can leave permanent scars on its victims and their loved ones. These are the people we paddle for.

The mission of the Castaways Against Cancer is two-fold. The goal is to not only find a cure for cancer by raising thousands of dollars each year for the American Cancer Society, but to honor those who have fought the good fight.

Since our inaugural voyage, generous people like you have helped us donate more than $160,000 to the ACS. Many of you have donated in the name of a loved one – and those names are on our website and our annual team shirt.

It’s that simple. We kayak, you donate and we all pray for a cure.
