My former colleague, Jeff Croucher (a.k.a. Heffe the Plethora of Pinatas, a.k.a. the Gringo of Santa Poco) of Fugro Pelagos, where I used to work, introduced me to CAC. I was amazed from the beginning. We casually talked shortly before my departure from FP about kayaking sometime. I managed to drop a hint about how great an opportunity it would be to kayak with CAC. Jeff stuck that hint in his memory banks, with his schedule and extracurricular activities (what with earning an honorary AS Degree in Filmmaking and Cinematography) aside, he called me up after the 2008 tour and asked if I wanted to come along next year. There was no way I was gonna say no! In addition, the cause being personal to me as well.
  • In his own words:

"This is one of the hardest things I've ever done.. I feel like I can do anything now."
