  • Castaways nickname: N/A

  • Tours Completed: 2022-Carry On Tour; 2023-Ridiculous Stunt Tour

  • Team Role/Function: Events Coordinator

  • How did you become a Castaway? I got "roped" into it. See what I did there? Wait - they use paddles...I have followed the Castaways since Eric Pino, a close friend since grade school, started in the endeavor.

  • Why are you a Castaway? As the organization has evolved, so has their need for more people to promote and assist their efforts. I signed on as Event Chair this year, given my background in Event Management, and I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful group.

  • Outside a kayak/bicycle, what is your "essential" gear? Is this a Frigo question? What does this mean?

  • Conch Republic Navy Rank: Haven’t had the honor of being inducted yet.

  • Favorite Castaways moment: N/A

  • Favorite Castaways quote: N/A

  • Tell us about your Family: Why? My kids and my husband drive me nuts and make me look old. My mom is my hero though.

  • Where are you from? The 3-0-5

  • Where'd you go to school? Like... Our Lady of Lourdes Academy

  • Where do you work? Aorist - an NFT cultural artwork company. I am the Head of Production. I am also COO of the ReefLine, a soon-to-be 7-mile artificial reef and sculpture garden off-shore Miami Beach designed by top international artists and designers, with the assistance of marine biologists, scientists, and marine engineers.

  • Favorite music/artists: Pitbull, Biggy (R.I.P), Zac Brown, and Britney

  • Favorite movies/genre: Romantic Comedy... with Pitbull music

  • Favorite books: Anything anti-institution... that or the Sweet Valley Twins

  • Personal Fun Fact: 1 - I have a twin. She heads PR for the Castaways. She is way more aggressive than I am, so we're not that similar. 2 - I love to workout and I love to eat. Unfortunately for me, the two cancel each other out... but I can leg press more than a Belen guy 3- I love helping non-profit organizations. You see the good in humanity. Good people are out there. The Castaways are a few of them.

  • How have I helped carry out the CAC mission of funding cancer research and honoring those who have fought the fight? As Event Chair, my goal is their goal. I can’t paddle to Key West (because I'm a Lourdes girl), but I can promote their work and help them reach their goal, through low-budget and efficient event management. Honoring those who have fought the fight is personal to me. Who doesn't know someone affected by cancer? I do this for them.
